It’s almost that time of year where my wardrobe transitions from flowy dresses and sandals to hoodies, leggings and boots. I love the crisp nip in the air that lets you know fall is here for a little while. The weekend mornings are reserved for curling up with my journal, a blanket, and a book or five.
To be 💯, at any given time, I am reading easily three book and listening to another three on audio. I just love books so much and I have since I was a little girl. The library was and continues to be one of my favorite places to wander and day dream.
I am grateful to have a community of friends who enjoy reading as much as I do. We constantly share our recommendations and book reviews with each other and this has been a welcome and expensive blessing.
See, I LOVE physically flipping through books, but I most enjoy consuming them through audio. With non-fiction audio, I prefer to listen to the author read their words. It feels more authentic, plus I know they are going to read it exactly as it was intended to be heard. Fiction audiobooks require an outstanding narrator. It matters A LOT! A good narrator knows how to give life and voice to multiple characters and maintain that throughout the entire book. There are a couple of book series I’ve listened to strictly because of the amazing narrator.
Below are a few of the books I am reading or listening to:
Books I am looking forward to reading:
I’d love to hear what you are reading right now, looking forward to, and what books you read over and over again because they are just that good.
I can't wait to read Leslie Jones' book. Or listen rather LOL
